A little\ntendency to grumble to the Lord instead of offering praise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nothing huge\u2014just an undercurrent of discontent. Tired of\nwaiting. Tired of expecting. Did I really say that in print?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That place\u2014may I quickly add\u2014is not a good place. I\u2019m\ngetting out of there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tired of trusting? What else can I do? All my hope is in\nGod. If he doesn\u2019t come through, the dream is dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Handy repair kit<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Found my \u2019tude repair kit just in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Confession. Grumbling is\n     sin\u2014kicking against God\u2019s plan. He knows what\u2019s coming while I wait,\n     expect, trust.<\/li><li>Praise. God is great and\n     he is good. For this I can praise him, regardless of complicated\n     circumstances\u2026or delayed dreams.<\/li><li>Thanksgiving. Gratitude is\n     a small gift I present to the Lord for the blessings he\u2019s lavished on me.\n     When I\u2019m forgetful, Psalm 103:1-5 gives me a place to start.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Praise the Lord,\nO my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not\nall his benefits\u2014<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Who forgives all your sins and heals all\nyour diseases,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>who redeems your life from the pit<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>and crowns you with love and compassion,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>who satisfies your desires with good things<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>so that your youth is\nrenewed like the eagle\u2019s.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This Psalm of David goes on highlighting attributes of God:\ncompassionate, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. \u201cHe does not treat\nus as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as\nthe heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;\nas far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions\nfrom us\u201d (see Psalm 103:8-12 NIV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Will I ever run out of\nreasons to praise the Lord?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Never!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Living a life of praise and thanksgiving may not change circumstances but it changes me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<span class='bctt-click-to-tweet'><span class='bctt-ctt-text'><a href='https:\/\/twitter.com\/intent\/tweet?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwp.me%2Fp9m6jT-je&#038;text=%20Living%20a%20life%20of%20praise%20and%20thanksgiving%20may%20not%20change%20circumstances%20but%20it%20changes%20me.&#038;via=DianneBarker12&#038;related=DianneBarker12' target='_blank'rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Living a life of praise and thanksgiving may not change circumstances but it changes me. <\/a><\/span><a href='https:\/\/twitter.com\/intent\/tweet?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwp.me%2Fp9m6jT-je&#038;text=%20Living%20a%20life%20of%20praise%20and%20thanksgiving%20may%20not%20change%20circumstances%20but%20it%20changes%20me.&#038;via=DianneBarker12&#038;related=DianneBarker12' target='_blank' class='bctt-ctt-btn'rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click To Tweet<\/a><\/span>\n\n\n\n<p>If your \u2019tude has a leak, repair it with confession and fill\nit with praise and thanksgiving that gushes all over the place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLet everything that has breath praise the Lord.
