Lord, have I learned the lesson? Have I learned to rest? Have I learned to pray? I only know I have made a choice today, to set my heart on seeking the Lord, trusting you to keep me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Truly I want to love you with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. I do not trust the flesh, for it has continued to fail me. My hope is in you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even saying that, Lord, I do not feel confident. I feel fearful. The history of failure looms too large for me to expect anything else. I am weighed down with the cares of this life. I no longer believe that is true. Although it seems we are all just a breath from being consumed, you are our strength. Therefore, we will never be any stronger than we are right now because you won\u2019t be stronger tomorrow!<\/p>\n\n\n\n We only need to depend on your strong arm and remember your holy name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I have set my heart today to seek the Lord my God. Never let me turn away!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your Word says, \u201cCommit thy works unto the Lord and thy thoughts shall be established\u201d (Proverbs 16:3).\u00a0 What could be easier than that!<\/p>\n\n\n\nYour Word says, \u201cCommit thy works unto the Lord and thy thoughts shall be established\u201d (Proverbs 16:3). I only need to acknowledge, \u201c\u2026when I awake, I am still with thee\u201d (Psalm 139:19). And then I meet all of the enemy\u2019s darts with truth: that\u2019s not my <\/em>problem!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Putting my cares into your almighty hands makes them your<\/em> problem. And I\u2019ve learned that nothing is a problem for you. Not the flood waters that tossed Noah and his family. Not the advancing army that threatened to overtake the Israelites at the Red Sea. Not the hungry lions that roared in Daniel\u2019s face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lord, you have done much bigger stuff than what I need. I know I can trust you. I choose to do that. Never let me live without your precious hand upon my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Accept my love and devotion and praise. This is the least I can give.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving\u201d (Psalm 69:30).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Living the maximum life!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Journaling has been a huge factor in growing my faith. It’s a private conversation with the Lord where I pour out my heart and he pours out his love. Maybe you\u2019ve had a similar conversation with the Lord. I\u2019d love to hear about it.
