Webster says \u201cfelt to be incapable of being done, attained, or fulfilled.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Likely you\u2019ve been in a hard situation that seemed to have no way out. Maybe you\u2019re there today.<\/p>\n<p>You weary yourself, tossing around ideas that won\u2019t work. After a sleepless night, you begin the new day with dread. Your hands are tied. You see no escape from this circumstance. If only you had the power to do something\u2026to make things better\u2026to latch onto a solution that could restore life to a joy-filled time before this.<\/p>\n<p>Fear of the unknown disables you, causing you to feel frozen in place and hopeless. That\u2019s what impossible does to us. To us humans.<\/p>\n<p>But God sees everything from a different perspective\u2014a view colored by his eternal purpose. What we call <em>impossible<\/em>, he calls <em>possible<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Turning to my Bible\u2019s Concordance, I expected to find a long list of verses for both words. To my surprise, the lists were short.<\/p>\n<p>A thought occurred to me: Jesus didn\u2019t talk much about <em>doing<\/em> the impossible. He just <em>did<\/em> the impossible.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t need a lengthy list of verses to convince me God can handle impossible. From a human perspective\u2014impossible.<\/p>\n<p>During his brief ministry on earth, everywhere he went, Jesus did the impossible, beginning with a miracle at a wedding feast in Cana where he turned ordinary water into wine. He walked on water, healed the sick and disabled, raised dead people to life. I don\u2019t know what he might do in your situation, but I know this. God specializes in impossible. Remember the Israelites stranded at the Red Sea with the Egyptian army in pursuit. God parted the waters and his people crossed on dry ground.<\/p>\n<p>Remember Daniel in the lions den for a night yet unharmed. Remember Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego leaving the fiery furnace without a hair singed or even bearing the smell of smoke.<\/p>\n<p>Remember times in your life when God delivered you or protected you in the middle of impossible. Those are our own landmark events that we revisit and remind us, \u201cFor with God nothing shall be impossible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t lose any more sleep wondering. It\u2019s a fact.
