Have you ever wondered if you were too hard for God? If the weaknesses of your personality were too hard for him? If your repeated failures were too hard for him?<\/p>\n
Desiring a consistent, victorious walk with the Lord, you try and try and try again, only to fall on your face. Disappointed in yourself, you somehow find courage enough to get up and try once more, only to fall again. You begin thinking\u2026maybe I\u2019m just too hard for God.<\/p>\n
I have a complicated temperament\u2014impulsive, emotional, and prone to live by feelings. These tendencies, running wild, lead to trouble. No wonder I keep falling on my face.<\/p>\n
One day, resisting the despair creeping over me, I cried out, \u201cLord, am I too hard for you?\u201d<\/p>\n
He answered sweetly in my spirit. Peter wasn\u2019t too hard for me.<\/em><\/p>\n Peter. Impulsive, emotional, prone to live by feelings. And so prone to failure. He kept falling on his face.<\/p>\n Encountering the resurrected Christ transformed him. The disciple who had denied knowing Christ preached with such power that on one occasion, about 3,000 people became believers (Acts 2:14-41).<\/p>\n Once impulsive, emotional, and prone to live by feelings, Peter followed the Lord with his whole heart, knowing his only hope was to fall on his grace.\u00a0And that\u2019s all I know to do\u2014just kept falling on his grace.<\/p>\nOnce impulsive, emotional, and prone to live by feelings, Peter followed the Lord with his whole heart, knowing his only hope was to fall on his grace. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body\u201d (1 Corinthians 6:20 Amplified).<\/p>\n \u201cYou were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for by Christ]; then do not yield yourselves up to become [in your own estimation] slaves to men [but consider yourselves slaves to Christ]\u201d (1 Corinthians 7:23 Amplified).<\/p>\n Are you too hard for God?<\/p>\n \u201cThen came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah, saying, Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?\u201d (Jeremiah 32:27).<\/p>\n The answer is in the prophet\u2019s prayer earlier in the chapter.<\/p>\n \u201cAh, Lord, God, behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for Thee\u201d (Jeremiah 32:17 KJV).<\/p>\n\u201cAh, Lord, God, behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for Thee\u201d (Jeremiah 32:17 KJV). <\/a><\/span>Click To Tweet<\/a><\/span>\n You are not too hard for God! He purchased you with the precious blood of his Son. He will never give up on you. He will never stop forgiving you. He will never tire of lifting you up again.<\/p>\n Run to him in prayer.<\/p>\n Lord, I cast myself utterly on you. Keep me from falling. Teach me your truth. Lead me in the way you would have me go. In everything I say and do, let your name be glorified. I praise you for your majesty. You are able to do exceeding abundantly above all that I could ask or think.
