Tug of war\u2026remember that sport you played as a child? Two teams line up and grab opposite ends of a rope. Then each team tries to pull the other down. Do you sometimes feel that represents the Christian life?<\/p>\n
We grab the rope and take our stand confidently, knowing the Lord in all his strength is behind us\u2014and a bunch of unseen angels.<\/p>\n
Tugging with all our might, with feet firmly fixed, we begin to wobble and waver, feeling the intensity of the pull from the other team\u2014the enemy of our soul and his cohorts.<\/p>\n
We know they are no match for our squad, but they\u2019re good at distracting and throwing darts of fear and panic. We start to worry that we can\u2019t stand strong, and our feet begin to slide.<\/p>\n
